Mercedes-Benz E Class
A driver’s car. With room for passengers.
Observe the stance: bold, dynamic. Aggressive, but controlled. Attend to the face the E-Class presents to the world: a central star, fixed in a distinctive two-lamella grille. A taut, thrusting front end that sweeps back, but declaims ‘forward’. We call this redesign ‘Avant-Garde’. Because it is.
See the way forward.
A driver needs to see. Integral to the redesign of the E-Class are its lights. Available full LED intelligent headlamps match the intelligence behind the wheel: active curve illumination, for better visibility as you corner, plus Adaptive Highbeam Assist, so you see, and are seen, as your E-Class slices through the darkness.
Command and control.
Yes, the genuine leather seats that grace the cockpit say luxury. As does the stitched ARTICO dashboard and selectable three-colour ambient lighting. (The analogue clock is a tip in the same direction.) But this is an environment of command. Witness the precise control layout and new three-tube instrument cluster. And the perforated grip
areas of the Nappa leather-trimmed multi-function three-spoke wheel. As we said, the E-Class is meant to be driven.
Power. What drives the E-Class. Not to mention the E-Class driver. The E-Class matches engine to occasion: a 3.5L direct-injection V6, for plenty of power, every day; or the E 550 4MATIC’s 4.6L bi-turbo V8, which unleashes 443 ft-lbs of torque. And, for those who wish to temper their adrenaline rush with incredible fuel efficiency, a 2.2L turbocharged BlueTEC diesel engine powers the E 250 BlueTEC 4MATIC.
