To be selected for certified status, a vehicle must have been faithfully maintained according to Mercedes-Benz warranty requirements at an authorized dealer. Not all pre-owned Mercedes-Benz are Star Certified, but those that are undergo our comprehensive testing regimen. Mechanical and electronic components are subjected to stringent testing, the vehicle's appearance is scrutinized inside and out and under, and an expert technician conducts a thorough road test to ensure that everything functions as the factory intended it to.

In all, 150 different items are inspected and if repairs are required, they are performed by factory-trained technicians using only original equipment Mercedes-Benz parts.

Effective December 1, 2005, every vehicle that passes this rigorous inspection and road test process is awarded Star Certified Limited Warranty coverage. One of the most comprehensive limited warranties in the business, this protection provides coverage up to 6 years or 120,000 km, whichever comes first. This coverage is honoured by all authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers across Canada. The Star Certified Limited Warranty is also transferable and emergency roadside assistance is included.

In short, a Star Certified pre-owned Mercedes-Benz is so close to the original, the only thing missing is the original owner.
